The Northern borders lead from the Pride Lands to other lion territories, one of them being the Outlands. Although the sunrise may hit every aspect of the Pride Lands apart from whatever it is that’s beyond these borders, the said borders still manage to catch the sunlight. Simba’s path ends just before the boundaries, and cubs are forbidden to cross the precincts.
