Name:
Vitani "war"
Age:
Young Adult Lioness
Gender:
Female
Alliance:
Previously Outlanders, Now she is a Pridelander, more by necessity than by choice.
Appearance:
Little 'Tani is not so little anymore. Having matured into a young adult lioness she is fierce from years of vigorous training and bitter for lack of opportunity to ever use it. Her claws often flex, piercing the ground below them but never making a sound, short of a contented growl when her prey is past all hope of escape.
She is covered from head to toe in bright sandy blond fur, and looks a great deal like her mother.
A a small creasing frown narrows her bright blue eyes and the dark underneath them that stand out prettily amongst her ruffled, unattractive form. Her teeth are only bared when she roars but otherwise remain hidden beneath her maw which all too often curls into a simper or wild grin. Her ears are often the most expressive part of her, either straight up in alertness or laid flat against her face with mixed exasperation and hostility.
Beneath her ragged fur are tight, lean muscles, though she is still skinny and frazzled from previous lack of food and merciless exposure to the African sun, she will no doubt only grow more formidable as the Pridelands, as well as adulthood heal her.
Several dots where whiskers should be line her muzzle, resembling beauty spots or acne on a teenage girl. On her forehead is a small ruffle, giving her a misleadingly boyish appearance; despite her lack of a mane. If by some oddity of nature she ever did grow one it would most likely be brown, like her sweeping, lashing tail tuft.
Vitani is the essence of uneasiness nowadays, preferring to walk off alone rather than face her pride members.
Personality:
Vitani was trained to be an emotionless killing machine but the process failed some part of the way because she retains her insightfulness, biting intelligence and understanding of right and wrong, as well as her somewhat cruel sense of humor.
Her bad qualities vastly outnumber her good ones, but the fact that they are there keeps her from slipping into wrathful insanity like her mother and adoptive father.
Enough bad things have happened to her to merit it, she is very lonely, she finds no comfort in associating with the pride-landers, she feels uncomfortable around her old pride sisters because of the looming memory of past events.
Everything she does and everywhere she goes reminds her of her brother Nuka and her mother Zira. She in restless morally, wondering again and again if she made the right choice.
Unlike her little brother Kovu, she still feels haunted by the shadow of her faux father and both fears, wonders at and bitterly hates his memory.
History:
Vitani was caught up full-force in the battle between The Pridelanders and the Outlanders, from her earliest memories of cubhood she could recall her mother's furious ravings, and even as a young adult she never quite grew used to them.
Trained to deal the fatal blow and aid Kovu at the critical moment, should the plan prove successful, Vitani was no less than a dutiful warrior to her mother, who was a commander of battle. However off and on, bits of affection seeped into her, both from her mother and her older brother, but these were far and in between and they only made her drive to complete an ambition she couldn't achieve all the more stronger , to make her mother happy Vitani became a ruthless.
To deal with this, she developed a sarcastic sense of humor, and many times she vented on the suffering Nuka, of all the things her regret for this is the most powerful, for she loved him even more than she did Zira, without realizing it.
Though she wasn't jealous like Nuka, when Kovu betrayed the Outsiders she knew she could never forgive him for what it did to Zira, even now she hasn't quite forgiven him.
Even more, she cannot forgive herself, with her battles between right and wrong becoming more prevalent in her thoughts, it's only a matter of time before Vitani has to decide whether to leave her pride, or rejoin them as a new lioness.
